JUMP SPREAD EAGLE


Launch from the jump in a balanced stance essentially over the skis as shown in Photo 1. As soon as the skis leave the jump, extend the arms to the side and up. The legs spread apart to form the spread eagle (Photos 2 and 3.)


After the highest point in the jump, the skier then prepares for the landing by bringing the feet together and extending the legs (Photo 4). Absorb the landing with leg and waist flexion as shown in Photo 5. Rise to the skiing position as shown in Photo 6.
